DRAGONFLY LEADERSHIP/TEAMWORK TRIP
On the sixth and seventh of october 2014, our public services class went on a two day camping, leadership/teamwork trip to Lantau Island in Hong Kong. There we were instructed by a team of outdoor instructors/educators and they taught us different leadership roles and scenarios. We performed many different games and group tasks throughout the two days in different teams, mixing with different people.
Team Building/ Group Tasks Included:
Raft Building
Canyoning
Tent Set-Up
Cooking
Ice Breaker Games
Hiking
There we adopted numerous roles of leadership and teamwork and found different ways to working and collaborating with others. This developed our knowledge on teamwork types and which situations to use specific leadership and teamwork types. We were put through some interesting challenges which really put some of these roles to the test. We had many briefing and debriefing sessions to reinforce our knowledge and skills in leadership/teamwork.
